About Best Lawyers
For more than 40 years, Best Lawyers has relied on peer review to compile its directory of leading attorneys in the nation. The multi-phase methodology begins when ballots of nominated attorneys are distributed to lawyers in the same practice areas and cities who were included in previous editions. They rate their peers based on several questions, such as “how likely would you be to refer a case to the nominee?” Next, the Best Lawyers staff conducts independent research.
Attorneys designated as Lawyers of the Year are those who receive the highest overall peer feedback from attorneys in the same practice areas and geographic regions.
