Four Richardson Thomas attorneys recognized by Super Lawyers for 2022

Three Richardson Thomas attorneys have been included in the 2022 edition of South Carolina Super Lawyers, a national guide to the nation’s top attorneys. Another has been selected to the 2022 South Carolina Rising Stars list.

The listing honors Chris Moore, Terry Richardson, and Brady Thomas, all for their work in the practice area of personal injury general: plaintiff. Will Lewis has been included in the Rising Stars list in the area of class actions.

Richardson has been included in every edition of Super Lawyers since 2008. Moore had made the Rising Stars list each year since 2018, before moving to the Super Lawyer list this year.

Richardson is regarded as one of the pre-eminent plaintiff attorneys in the Southeast. He is a consummate litigator who has tried, and won, some of the largest cases in South Carolina. His practice includes class actions, catastrophic injuries, securities fraud, product liability, and more.

Moore has earned a reputation as a leader in litigation involving faulty lithium-ion batteries. He’s pursued cases against national retailers and manufacturers when devices powered by the batteries, such as remote-control vehicles and e-cigarettes, have overheated and exploded.

Thomas handles catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, burn injuries, product liability, and other personal injury litigation. He has represented victims in more than five dozen cases involving exploding gas cans across the country, spurring the industry to add flame arrestors to all new plastic gas cans.

Lewis is a former federal prosecutor whose varied legal practice includes representing whistleblowers in qui tam actions and helping people seriously harmed by defective products, corporate wrongdoing, or negligence. He also defends those accused of white-collar crimes.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. For more on how the selection process works, go to https://www.superlawyers.com/about/selection_process_detail.html.

South Carolina Rising Stars recognizes outstanding lawyers who are younger than 40, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
